On-line education to fly
IBISWorld has released its annual projection of those industries that will fly or fall during 2012.
Of significant note is on-line education, set to grow by almost 11% top $4.8bn. This will be supported by continued uptake of high speed internet connection and a growing acceptance of this method of learning.
The highest growth is estimated at 36.7% for the diamond and gem stone mining industry. The other three ‘flyers’ are motor vehicle manufacturing, biotechnology and on-line shopping.
The industries set to fall are:
- Iron and steel manufacturing
- Institutional Building Construction
- Cotton growing
- Cut flower growing
- Pulp, Paper and Paperboard Manufacturing
